PBH's Supermarket RD's at Fresh Summit Program

PBH hosted 23 supermarket dietitians from fifteen states, representing over 9,200 stores nationwide for its 4th annual Supermarket Dietitians at Fresh Summit Program. The four-day program featured several education sessions, a culinary demonstration, various networking occasions, and a supermarket store tour. Additionally, the dietitians were given dedicated time on the expo floor allowing them to learn more about specific fruits and vegetables and the challenges and opportunities growers, shippers, and marketers are facing today. Dietitians from the following chains participated in the program: Albertson's/Safeway, Big Y Foods, Fareway Stores, Inc., Giant Eagle, Inc., GIANT Food Stores/MARTIN's Food Markets, H-E-B, Hy-Vee, Inc., Ingles Markets, King Soopers/City Market, Loblaw Companies, Ltd., Lowes Foods, Mariano's/Roundy's Supermarkets Inc., The Kroger Company, Meijer, Military Community and Family Policy DOD, Northgate Gonzalez Market, ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc., Skogen's Festival Foods, and Weis Markets.

Use of the Fruits & Veggies—More Matters® Logo

Did you know that one of the greatest benefits of your annual support of PBH is use of the Fruits & Veggies—More Matters logo?  According to the 2015 survey of moms who recognize the logo, 53% say they are more likely to purchase a product carrying the logo on pack.  If you’ve already signed the license agreement, all you need to do is email a mock-up of the label for approval to Kristen Stevens, kstevens@pbhfoundation.org – it’s that EASY!  Contact Kristen as well if you would like to become a licensee.  And remember – approved use of the logo helps to qualify your organization as a Champion or Role Model for 2015!
