A Preview of PBH's 2016 Planned Activities & Events

 

Consumer Research. Social Media Fun. Industry Events. These highlights are just some of PBH's planned activities for 2016. All of PBH's efforts throughout 2016 will provide information and resources the fruit and vegetable industry can leverage to assist with reaching consumers, understanding behaviors of various customer groups, and increasing sales and consumption of fruit and vegetables.

 

Consumer Research – PBH will provide key takeaway's and insights focused on shopping and consumption patterns and behaviors of Mom's with children under the age of 10 through an update of our annual Mom report scheduled for distribution by the end of Q1, 2016.

Social Media Fun – If you've participated in one of our monthly Twitter parties, you know they are a fantastic way to broaden the reach and engagement of your organization with consumers.  And they are free to join!  PBH will have two parties throughout most months in 2016, providing you with the opportunity to expand your consumer reach and exposure.  We always have a party on the first Wednesday of each month at 4pm EST, and typically a second party during the third week of the month.  We are also planning a contest or two throughout 2016.  Be sure to tune-in to our Facebook and Twitter outlets to learn more!

 

Industry Events – Throughout 2016, PBH will host two events specifically for supermarket dietitians and one event hosting supermarket and foodservice dietitians and buyers/marketers/merchandisers from supermarkets, foodservice and convenience stores. 

 

PBH will first host a group of supermarket dietitians at the 2016 National Grocers Association annual conference and expo held in February 2016.  This PBH program is a great way to expand the knowledge base of dietitians from independents and small chains while having the opportunity to meet and learn from members of the produce industry.  The second group of supermarket dietitians will be hosted by PBH during PMA's Fresh Summit held in October 2016.  This year will be the 5th annual program for PBH and feedback from the participants and sponsors is always very positive.

 

For the 4th consecutive year, PBH will host a group of dietitians from supermarkets and foodservice, along with buyers and marketers at our 2016 Annual Conference: The Consumer Connection held April 4-6 in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Our hosted attendees have found our conference to be extremely beneficial in terms of expanding their knowledge base and growing their network.  


Celebrate National Nutrition Month® in March

 

The theme for National Nutrition Month® this year is “Savor the Flavor of Eating Right.”  PBH will support the month and theme with social media posts you can use as is or customize.  You can also take advantage of one of our ‘evergreen' marketing toolkits to celebrate National Nutrition Month® through in-store promotions and displays, or through print and online circulars.  Click here to view all available marketing toolkits.

 


2016 Annual Conference Keynote Presentation

 

The PBH Annual Conference: The Consumer Connection not only offers the opportunity to network and meet one-on-one with customers, supermarket dietitians and colleagues, but it also offers a variety of educational sessions.  The following is a preview of our Keynote session – Millennial Brand Love – presented by Jeff Fromm the Millennial Marketing Guy™.

 

While some of the top brands and marketers fear the unknown of the “enigma generation,” the real winners are those who engage and interact with today's Millennial Mindset™ consumers.  This entertaining and educational presentation will challenge participants to unlearn and reimagine what they thought they knew about the millennial generation including their impact on Boomer consumers who have a Millennial Mindset.
